Exhibition of Treasures of Imperial Japan
On July 5, 2017 the Moscow Kremlin Museums will open an exhibition 'Beyond Imagination: Treasures of Imperial Japan from the Khalili Collection, 19th to early 20th century'. It will be the first time when a part of a unique collection, which was founded in the 1970-s by a world famous scientist, collector and philanthropist Nasser David Khalili, will be shown in Russia.

Installation of the exhibition 'Beyond Imagination: Treasures of Imperial Japan from the Khalili Collection, 19th to Early 20th Century' is complete. Soon a new display area presenting world famous Japanese kimono, unsurpassed samples of silk embroidery, porcelain, metal and enamel artworks will be revealed. Most of them were created by craftsmen-official suppliers of the Japanese Imperial court. The exposition is housed in two halls, each having its own colour, light and spacing. The design of the exhibition allows visitors explore the items from various perspectives.
